Partner Abuse Against Men Public Health Agency of Canada
According to their responses, almost equal proportions
of men and women (7% and 8% respectively) had been the
victims of intimate partner physical and psychological
abuse (18% and 19% respectively).
Domestic
violence can happen to any type of person. It happens
to women, it happens to men. It happens to all social
classes, people who speak all languages. It happens regardless
of sexual orientation or religion. Many people have never
thought about abused men, or the fact that it happens
in same-sex relationships.
Understand
that nobody deserves to be abused. If you suspect someone is being abused, take
action immediately.
